Yo ya lo veía venir. Un señor de 80 años en el peor sitio para hacer un concierto no podía acabar de otra manera. Vale que ha sido una leyenda del rock, pero hoy por hoy es un abuelo cascarrabias que no da una. Como guitarrista no fui a verlo porque después de ver algunas de "sus actuaciones" de esta gira me iba a pasar el concierto maldiciendo. A Eric Sardinas si que no me lo pierdo, que ese si que está en buena forma y no se pierde...

En mi opinión, que también estuve alí, fué totalmente emocionante ver a Chuck Berry. Hubiera pagado 100 euros y no me habría importado, jamás pensé que pudiese verlo en directo nunca en la vida y es verdad que el sitio era penoso, el espacio para verlo de cerca era muy pequeño y las gradas quedaban muy lejos, y haber quitado las imágenes de las pantallas fue una putada. Pero ver a ese hombre salir al escenario con 81 años y toda esa vibración de leyenda pura del rock´n´roll a mi me dejó fascinada.Si que fue corto, se echaron de menos muchos temas, y se equivocó montones de veces, pero estamos hablando de un Chuck Berry de 81 años, una fiera del escenario, y sus errores los disfruté igualmente.Pude verme el Johnny B. good en primera fila, a duras penas, de puntillas agarrada a una vaya casi de mi altura en uno de los laterales y para mi fue increible. También me supo a poco, pero pagaría por poder verlo de nuevo.Es Chuck Berry, es como si Elvis estuviera vivo y viniese a tocar a Telde, un acontecimiento increíble y fantástico.

leí también la crónica del periódico y coincido en tres cosillas: el lugar no era el apropiado ni para un grupo de verbena de pueblo, que tiene el hombre más de ochenta y que era una cita obligatoria.

Pagué 25 € y puedo decir que ví a Chuck Berry, como otros dirán que vieron a Elvis, etc...

El concierto fue corto corto, pero me imagino que es el formato estándar que tienen para un concierto en que la atención se centra en un hombre de más de ochenta años.

En cuanto a lo de las pantallas y que no dejaran que le grabasen... rock´n roll es eso, carácter. Y sobretodo me quedo con la despedida...que no hubo, arrancó con la misma y listo, todo un clásico.

He ido a varios conciertos en este sitio y no es para nada adecuado para un concierto, pero de alabar el esfuerzo que hacen esta gente de traer a artistas con nivel.

un poco mas de informacion e interes por parte de un publico vergonzosamente pasivo, no habria hecho mal y creo que un hombre de tan gran corazon como lo es chuck berry so habria sabido apreciar .....solo al final la gente se animo y eso tambien solo despues de que nosotros, un diminuto grupillo cerca del escenario, montamos canya alla delante ...todos estaban aplastados en sus asientos sin hacer nada, que es eso! es alemania eso??! o que ??!
el concierto a mi me parecio fantastico, no era un abuelo meramente desrollando sus evergreens sino que aquello verdaderamente WAS ROCKING , y la malicia de algun periodico de comentar la pregunta de chuck : " hemos tocado johhny b. goode ya?" como SERIAMENTE puesta, me parece en si una falta de educacion: parece que no tienen sentido de humor esos de la prensa, o no escuchan: por el tono de voz ya se oia que era BROMA, BROOOMAAAAA!
yo por mi parte aun no creo lo que he visto aquella noche DELANTE DE MI, a 4 metros: al poeta mas genuino y al guitarrista mas emocionante de toda la historia del rock and roll, la gran nueva forma de arte del siglo venite. chapeau, chuck! ps: al contrario de lo que escribio la prensa canaria, esos reyes del ko me parecieron soporientos, mediocres, aburridos, forzados y perdidos en un blues rock de clise de los anyos setenta que se ha oido ya hasta la nausea durante los 75 - 79, realmente una musica que cansa, que no va a ningun lado y que en su infinita repeticion se ha auto matado ya hace 40 anyos ...escribir que ellos " incluso superaron al maestro", eso constituye un grave insulto, puesto que cualquiera que ha escuchado los primeros acordes de la guitarra de cb, tuvo que darse cuenta de la tremenda diferencia en intensidad .....ademas, escribio un torpe periodista, que " comenzo el concierto de chuck berry con unos tropezones acusticos hasta que ya encontro su forma cuando toco roll over beethoven" pero si fue roll over beethoven precisamente, con el que comenzo el concierto, no ??!ya quiero ver yo a madonna, metallica, jennifer lopez, britney spears, a casi todos los nenatos de los anyos ochenta y el 99, 9 % de los rappers e hiphoppers de hoy tocar en tanta calidad , teniendo ELLOS ochenta y dos anyos . no, no tiene eso nada que ver con ninguna nostalgia - es que se han vuelto COMODOS y MIMADOS nuestros jovencitos, y no son ya tan inventivos, luchadores y grandiosos como aquellos viejos. los jovenes estan tan preocupados por triunfar, que se olvidan que para triunfar, se necesita ALGO con QUE triunfar.y eso no es, precisamente , escribiendo textos tontorrones de mediocres relacioncitas con un poco de mala guitarrilla. Creo que los años pueden con el viejito Chuck. Los que amamos el Rock'n'Roll podemos renunciar a valorar técnicamente a leyendas como Chuck intentando ignorar el hecho de que desafinara durante todo el concierto y de que tocara buena parte del mismo con una cuerda desafinada. sin embargo lo que sí me cuesta ignorar es el hecho de que un amante de la música como Chuck con 81 años y en pleno concierto se preocupara más de evitar de que grabaran a intentar tocar una nota a tiempo y en tono.
Me parece vergonzozo el gesto. Este tipo de cosas es para los managers o los técnicos, pero que una estrella interrumpa su actuación para este tipo de cosas ...
Sin embargo me quedo con el hecho de haber visto y oido a uno de los músicos que editó gran parte de los vinilos con los que aprendí a tocar las primeras escalas de blues.
